Health Care in the States

I was a little surprised this week to see that even in Delaware only 43% of voters support the Democratic health care plan, with 46% opposed. But I went back and looked at all of our state by state polling on the issue today and it was actually the highest level of favor we've found for it in any of the ten states we've looked at!

I don't doubt the polls that show voters favor some of the key components of the health care plan, like the public option. But there's not much question when you look at these kinds of numbers that Democrats have lost the messaging battle...and when it comes to 2010 that might be all that counts.

Here are the state by state figures. Red state, blue state, purple state, whatever, Republicans are winning on this issue.

Off topic, but I think a good addition to the blog would be to add a schedule of upcoming polls(maybe on the sidebar) so people know what to expect.
